What is the potting mix capacity of Wallgarden products?
The Wallgarden has a potting mix capacity of 16.3 litres per pot and 5.4 litres per plant (3 plants per pot).
The Multi-Hang has a potting mix capacity of 4.7 litres per plant.
Our vertical pots beat most if not all of the competition on the Australian market for potting mix capacity. A larger potting mix capacity helps root ball growth and water retention, growing healthier, happier plants that are easier to care for.
How much weight can Wallgarden pots handle?
The expected normal load per module of the Wallgarden is around 8-12kg. We have load tested these up to 75kg though without failure.
What’s the dimensions of your products?
The Wallgarden is 600mm wide x 230mm tall x 200mm deep.
The Multi-Hang is 200mm wide x 200mm length x 250mm height.
Can I grow food using Wallgarden?
Yes, you sure can grow food using the Wallgarden and Multi-Hang pots. Numerous customers happily grow amazing vegetable and herb gardens with our products. Our products are made from stabilised recycled polypropylene, regarded as the most chemically resistant and inert of all commonly available plastics. Our products will not react with common gardening nutrients. They are also BPA free.
What plants can I grow in a green wall?
A lot of different plants will grow happily stacked vertically. Do your research first and ensure you have the appropriate potting mix, light and environment. We’ve provided a list of many different plants that will happily grow using Wallgarden, particularly due to the large potting mix capacity offered by our products.
Can I use these on balconies and in small gardens?
Our vertical pots are great for use on balconies and in small gardens. They can be stacked easily and removed quickly individually as need be, with a space-efficient design that allows for a large potting mix capacity (creating healthier plants). Are these pots free draining?
Yes, all of our pots are free draining and do not have a water reservoir (for the better). A reservoir at the bottom of a pot can suffocate plants to some degree, create poor aeration and cause root rot. A reservoir can also be a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Water flows easily through our products, watering the plants below them to create an efficient water-saving method.
Are Wallgarden products BPA free?
Yes, the Wallgarden and Multi-Hang are BPA (Bisphenol A) free.
What is your warranty?
All Wallgarden products include a 10 year warranty covering degradation leading to structural failure under intended use.
Can I install these myself?
Yes, our products are designed to be simple and easy to install yourself using commonly available building materials available at most if not all building supply stores. The Wallgarden includes keyhole mounting points on each module. The modular Multi-Hang easily clips onto most vertical garden backing systems, fences, steel mesh, RIO concrete reinforcing steel and wood lattice.

Can you install Wallgarden at my home / business / organisation?
Select Wallgarden stockists offer a installation service. Visit our "Find a Stockist" page to find a nearby stockist. A stockist marked as an "Installer" will be able to install our products at your location.
Do your pots come in different colours?
Our vertical pots are only available in black. The reason for this is that carbon black is used to achieve this colour and further enhances the UV resistance qualities.
Do green walls reduce sound/noise?
A green wall can act as a noise reducing / insulation barrier to some degree. Depending on the size and density of your green wall, incoming sound may be reflected back in the direction it came from and absorbed.
Are these kits okay for the outdoors?
Our products are designed and made to withstand the Australian outdoors. They each include a high level of UV resistance plus a 10 year warranty. The drainage holes featured allow your green walls to handle heavy rains, given the potting mix you use drains well.
Can I create a vertical garden indoors?
Yes, vertical gardens can be grown indoors and many people do this. Various plants can be grown easily indoors, given they have adequate lighting and air flow. Do your research about the appropriate plants for indoor gardening. Ensure there are drainage trays and systems at the bottom for excess water drainage and to prevent water damage to indoor items, such as furniture and flooring. Moisture is another element to consider, as a mass of plants will create moisture around them which benefits the plants but you’ll need to check this doesn’t create problems for your indoor environment.
